MilanNews journalist Alessandro Schiavone spoke to Barcola and asked him what his favourite Italian team is, to which he responded: “In Italy, I support Milan.”
Back in the 2023 summer window, Milan were actually linked with a move for the winger when he was shining for Lyon. However, the draw of PSG proved to be too tempting to turn down, and he has now become a key player for the Champions League winners.
Barcola began his professional career with his boyhood club Lyon before then moving to the capital in a deal worth €45m transfer fee. He won a domestic treble in his first season at the club, and has broken into the French national team too.
This season, the 23-year-old has scored four goals in eight league games, and he also has two goal contributions in three Champions League games too.
