Any speculation that Paris Saint-Germain are not seriously interested in signing Renato Sanches may well have been put to bed as a couple of reports suggest otherwise.

According to reports from Le Parisien, the negotiations between PSG and Stade Reims for Hugo Ekitike will soon be closed and the striker will move to the Ligue 1 champions. Then, they will turn to finalising the deal to sign Renato Sanches from Lille, most likely next week, so the two players can join the rest of the team on the tour in Japan.

Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano also confirms that Paris Saint-Germain are set to sign Ekitike having beaten the competition. A medical is already scheduled after they reached agreement in principle with Reims at around €30m plus add-ons.

He adds that their new sporting director Luís Campos wanted Ekitike as he considers him to be a ‘top talent’ while now he is ‘pushing to sign Renato Sanches’ and reunite with the Portugal international.
