According to the Portuguese newspaper O Jogo (via MilanLive), PSG and Lille have found an agreement over a deal that will see the Portuguese midfielder join the Ligue 1 champions. The source reports that the deal should go through with the formula of a loan with an obligation to buy set at around €10m.

This solution suggests that Sanches must renew his contract for at least a year with Lille, given that his current deal expires in June 2023. However, it would certainly not be the first time that we have seen an operation of this type.

Given that Sanches would join up with Christophe Galtier and Luis Campos in the French capital – who were the Lille head coach and sporting director respectively for their league win in 2020-21 – it seems as though they were his first choice.
