Tuttosport: Renato Sanches asks for time as PSG stall – Milan line up alternative target

AC Milan are in the market for a new central midfielder and they are now evaluating an alternative to Renato Sanches, a report claims.

According to what is being reported by today’s edition of the newspaper Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Sanches is one of Milan’s main targets for the summer transfer window and he is certainly the leading candidate to come in and replace Franck Kessie at the moment.

However, the complication is that the Portugal international is pushing to go to Paris Saint-Germain but the Ligue 1 club have not yet made an official offer, while Milan have put forward a bid of €15m to Lille.

The former Benfica and Bayern Munich man is taking time to weigh up his options and for this reason Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara already have an alternative in mind if the talks go nowhere: Aston Villa’s Douglas Luiz. The Brazilian has a deal with just 12 months left, and could leave this summer.
