Report: Chelsea place bid for €35m winger linked with Milan, Man Utd and Barcelona

Chelsea have joined AC Milan and a number of other clubs in the race to sign Dinamo Zagreb starlet Dani Olmo, a report claims.

Olmo recently alerted interested clubs by stating that he feels his time in Croatia has come to an end, a clear indication that he is ready to take the next step in his career.

The Spain international helped his country’s U21 side win the European Championships over the summer, and the Manchester Evening News recently reported that both Manchester City and Manchester United are ready to go head to head in January to try and sign the winger.

Olmo has eight goals in 20 appearances this season so far which has earned him admirers in Italy too, as Milan and Atalanta are both monitoring the player, who has a value of up to €35million.

Mundo Deportivo claimed earlier in the week though that Barcelona have made an official offer to Dinamo Zagreb for the Spanish talent, who came through their academy.

According to Spanish outlet Sport, Chelsea have become the latest side to join the hunt for Olmo and have submitted an offer. The report provides no details as to the figures involved, but adds that other clubs could also submit bids in what may become an auction.
