Report: Chelsea’s pursuit of €40m winger could help Milan land major attacking target

Chelsea’s transfer plans could help AC Milan land their main attacking target in Hakim Ziyech, according to a report.

It is well known that Milan are on the lookout for opportunities to potentially strengthen the right side of the attack given that Alexis Saelemaekers and Samu Castillejo – while both system players – do not guarantee goals and assists in large quantities.

According to Andrea Longoni (via Il Milanista), Milan actually have Domenico Berardi of Sassuolo on their wish list as a potential option to bolster the right flank, given he amassed 25 goal contributions last season in the league alone, with 17 of those goals.

Sassuolo are asking for €40m which is too much for Milan, but this is where things may fall into place as Chelsea are also thinking about the Italy international as an option for their attack. With the purchase of Berardi, the Blues could therefore be more open to letting Ziyech leave, who is a major target for Milan.
