Report: Inter offered same terms to Barcelona and Dest but he chose Milan

Inter also made a move to sign Sergino Dest from FC Barcelona but the player only wanted to join AC Milan, according to a report.

News broke last night claiming that Milan had agreed a deal with Barca to sign Dest, with the management moving quickly to secure some cover for the right-back role after Alessandro Florenzi’s injury in the game against Sassuolo that should keep him out for at least eight weeks.

As reported by journalist Jonas Hen Shrag, Inter also tried to buy Sergino Dest from Barcelona yesterday and the Nerazzurri even offered the same formula and figure to Barcelona as the Rossoneri did to try and convince them.

That means they offered a loan with option to buy set at €20m and also the same salary to the player, but the journalist adds that Dest chose Milan over their city rivals.

It certainly speaks volumes about how Milan’s project is viewed by those outside of Italy and by young players looking to relaunch themselves.
