It feels a little strange to be talking about signings right now, seeing as Milan don’t have even a management in place. Ruben Amorim has been hired as the head coach, but a Head of Football and a sporting director are still missing.

Nevertheless, by the looks of it, the scouting department has remained active just like the Milan Futuro figures Jovan Kirosvi and Vincenzo Vergine. Indeed, a player is about to arrive from Birmingham, as per multiple reports.

Reinforcement from Birmingham

It was on June 16 that Luca Bendoni broke the news about Milan’s interest in Aurelian Guernier, an 18-year-old forward who plays for Birmingham’s reserves and U18 side. Yesterday, he added that the Rossoneri are negotiating the final details and that the player’s arrival is imminent.

According to Luca Maninetti, that arrival could take place today as Milan have sealed an agreement. Medical tests have been scheduled and if passed, then Guernier is expected to become a part of the Rossoneri’s Futuro side.

Milan have made quite few of these youngster signings for the Futuro in recent years, so it will be interesting to see how he will get on.
