Repubblica: Lazio, Napoli or Milan – Romagnoli’s future remains unclear

Despite the fact his contract has now expired and he is officially a free agent, Alessio Romagnoli’s future is nowhere closer to being defined.

According to La Repubblica (via MilanNews), Lazio are continuing to work to sign Romagnoli. The Biancoceleste are his boyhood club and they have been heavily linked over the past few weeks and months, but they have not yet got the operation over the line despite the fact his deal ran out over a week ago.

There is an obstacle that Claudio Lotito’s side must overcome too because at the moment there is still no agreement on the commissions to be paid to Romagnoli’s entourage.

Napoli are also keen on the defender, while an interesting third hypothesis involving Milan making him an acceptable renewal offer also cannot be ruled out at the moment. Romagnoli therefore must wait for his future to be defined, as the days of preseason tick by.
