25 games since Cremonese’s upset in the opening round, winning 1-2 at San Siro, AC Milan will finally be able to get their revenge.

Prior to the defeat against Parma last weekend, Milan had only lost one game: the opening round against Cremonese at San Siro. Davide Nicola’s men made the most of two chances, more or less, to win 1-2 and shock the Rossoneri in front of their home crowd.

While it was obviously a very poor result for Massimiliano Allegri’s men, some have also argued that it acted as a much-needed wake-up call. Not to mention that it highlighted some flaws in the squad, with Adrien Rabiot arriving about a week later.

Revenge finally in sight

In any case, Milan will finally have a chance at getting their revenge tomorrow. Cremonese have been in terrible form lately, lacking a win since early December (!), so the Rossoneri absolutely have to come away with all three points – comfortably so, one should add.

Those of you who have supported this club for a while might say that it would be typical Milan fashion to lose or draw this game. As such, it’s a chance for Allegri and his men to show their growth since that opening round.

Another thing worth considering is that after two poor results, Milan might have to start looking down a little as the Champions League race is far from decided. The recent struggles, as well as getting revenge on Cremonese, will hopefully act as a fuel for success.
