CM: Decisive meeting between agent and club imminent – Romagnoli has made his choice

Alessio Romagnoli’s time at AC Milan seems destined to come to an end after seven years as the defender is closing in on an exit, a report claims.

Romagnoli joined Milan back in the summer of 2015 from Roma and it looked like he would be a part of the centre-back pairing for potentially the next decade, but last season the arrival of Fikayo Tomori relegated him to a bench role and now Pierre Kalulu’s emergence has added to his frustrations.

In the next few days, a decisive face-to-face meeting is expected between the agents of Romagnoli and Lazio, according to Calciomercato.com. The Milan captain has chosen the Biancoceleste as his next destination, given that he is a boyhood fan of the club.

The report adds that recent contacts have made the negotiation increasingly downhill and unless there are surprises he will be moving south to the capital ahead of the 2022-23 season.
