Dejan Savicevic has denied that he spoke to anyone at AC Milan regarding their latest signing, striker Andrej Kostic.

On Tuesday, Milan announced the signing of Kostic from Partizan Belgrade. He is certainly an exciting name for the future on paper, having score 11 goals so far this season across all competitions despite being only 19 years of age.
As per the official statement, he will join Milan Futuro starting July 1st. The deal closed for a fixed fee of €3m, plus bonuses that will take it up to €5m and a percentage of future resale value in favour of Partizan.
‘No one from Milan called me’
Dejan Savicevic – the president of the Montenegrin Federation and a midfielder who played at Milan from 1992 to 1998 – spoke to Meridian Sport about Kostic.
“Now it’s Andrej’s turn to shine, but it’s also up to them to find him adequate playing time. I’m not in favour of him going to the Primavera. He’s been playing for the senior national team for two years, so it’s better to go on loan to another club,” he said (via Calciomercato.com).
In recent days, Savicevic had been named as a figure that persuaded the Rossoneri to go for the teenager. However, he has now strongly denied this claim: “No one from Milan called me, nor did they ask me.”
The club have invested well over €30m on players that are 21 and under in the past couple of windows as they attempt to stockpile gems that might just form the future core. Oh, and the talks with Darko Ristic for Kostic might just serve another purpose, namely helping to get Dusan Vlahovic.
