AC Milan seem likely to say goodbye to Samu Castillejo at the end of the season as the winger is gathering interest in Spain, a journalist has claimed.
It has certainly not been the easiest of times for Castillejo recently as he has struggled for form and has been largely restricted to appearances off the substitutes’ bench. This has led to speculation that his days with the Rossoneri are numbered and that an upgrade could be sought by the management in the summer.
According to journalist Nicolo Schira on Twitter, Castillejo could indeed leave Milan in the upcoming mercato, and he is gathering interest from clubs in his home country. Espanyol (who have secured a return to La Liga) and Valencia (coached by his former boss Javi Gracia from Malaga) have asked for info.
The fact that his contract with Rossoneri expires in 2023 could help them too as a renewal is not on the cards and it will keep his price within reach.
