Giorgio Furlani was present at Milanello today, according to a report, and a lunch with Massimiliano Allegri seemingly took place as well.

Milan continued their preparations for the Verona clash at Milanello earlier today, with Allegri and his men hoping that they can bounce back from the Udinese defeat. To show the support of the ownership, as reported by Sky Italia, Furlani was present at the session.

The CEO also had the former Milan player Dario Simic with him, who was there as a representative of the Croatian Football Federation to hand over the “Croatian Footballer of the Year” award to Luka Modric.

Lunch at Milanello

As per the report, Furlani also had lunch with Allegri to take stock of the current situation and just as a general catch-up. The manager has obviously been linked with the Italian national team a lot, and other clubs are lurking too, but Milan are not anxious about it.

In fact, as Gazzetta dello Sport reported this morning, the Rossoneri view Allegri as a key part of the project. They will not only satisfy his request on the market this summer, but also strengthen his role in the overall project to become more of a manager-director.

We suppose it’s nice that the ownership is showing itself at the training ground, but at the same time, it’s not like that will have an effect on the game this weekend.
