According to what is being reported by Philipp Hinze of Sky Germany, Thuram is now moving closer to joining Milan after rejecting RB Leipzig’s bid to try and keep him in the Bundesliga.
He confirms that the Frenchman has ‘turned down’ the Red Bull Club and that Paris Saint-Germain have also already pulled out of the race to sign him when he leaves Borussia Mönchengladbach on a free transfer.
This means that Thuram will ‘most likely move to Milan’ and while there will not be a transfer fee involved given that it is a Bosman, there will be a ‘big signing fee’.
In the last season, Thuram found the back of the net 16 times and assisted an additional seven goals, with the Rossoneri management clearly seeing him as the ideal compliment to Olivier Giroud.
