Sky: Milan may sign Taremi for free if a deal does not materialise this summer

AC Milan may be forced to wait a year to sign Mehdi Taremi from Porto if they cannot secure his arrival this summer, a report claims.

As has been reported by Sky Sport Italia, Milan raised their offer overnight for the Iranian striker but the deal is still not fully in place with Porto.

The new offer is €15m and bonuses but Porto seem to want a different payment structure to the one that Milan have so offered.

Milan are rushing to get the deal done because he is a non-EU player and the process will take much longer, putting the deal in jeopardy.

Even if the deal falls through this week, Milan could try to block him in January for a free transfer next June when he will be out of contract with the Portuguese side. That would not solve the need for more depth in attack behind Olivier Giroud this season though, unless Lorenzo Colombo stays.
