Stefano Pioli’s side will not train for at least a week having undergone a session at Milanello on Tuesday afternoon, a report claims.

Italy and in particular northern regions such as Lombardy continue to struggle to get the outbreak under control, which led to the official announcement on Monday that Serie A will be suspended until April 3 at least.

The BBC reported that the number of people to have died from the coronavirus in the country has shot up by 133 in a day to 366. The total number of infections leapt 25% to 7,375 from 5,883, according to the Civil Protection agency.

Milan have announced that, in light of the outbreak, they have made a donation to try and help the relief efforts, but it appears that there is not much else that can happen on the footballing side of things at present.

According to the latest from Sky Italia (via MilanNews), the players left Milanello where training was resumed this afternoon following the Genoa game, but it will be the last time for a while that they will be there as they will now not train for a week at least.
