As Deadline Day approaches, AC Milan are looking to complete their last business for the summer as a few pieces are still missing for Giampaolo’s team.
One of the players that the Rossoneri are keeping tabs on is Angel Correa, who is said to be the perfect partner for Piatek in Giampaolo’s 4-3-1-2 formation. However, the negotiations are yet to unlock.
According to Sky Italia, the player remains in Milan’s sight, but there have been no news on the negotiations in recent days. Most likely, the parties have failed to meet in the middle, not willing to budge on their respective conditions.
Various outlets have reported that the main obstacle for the San Siro side remains to fund the deal. A few weeks ago, Andre Silva was on the verge of joining Monaco, but the deal fell through and thus complicated the negotiations for Correa.
The Portuguese striker is still on the market, but agent Jorge Mendes is having a hard time finding him a new destination. Meanwhile, Milan are working to offload Laxalt as well. Should both leave, then Correa would be easier to get to.
