Sky: West Ham set sights on defender as Milan eye ‘huge capital gain’

AC Milan have been one of the best defensive sides in Europe’s top five leagues since the derby against Inter. They have Fikayo Tomori and Malick Thiaw to thank for it, and the latter has attracted interest from abroad.

Thiaw arrived at Milan from Schalke 04 last summer for a fee of around €8m, but his first six months at the club were very club. At the start of the year, he got the chance and hasn’t looked back since, cementing his spot in the starting XI.

According to Sky Italia, as cited by MilanNews, the German is attracting interest from abroad and West Ham appears to be the most concrete link. For Milan, there could be a ‘huge capital gain’ on the cards.

Of course, the Rossoneri would only sell Thiaw for an offer they can’t refuse, as happened in the summer when Newcastle paid €70m for Sandro Tonali. It remains to be seen if the English side are serious about their interest in the player.
