SM: Romagnoli asks Raiola for ‘maximum confidentiality’ over Milan future – the reason

Alessio Romagnoli’s contract will expire at the end of the season and it doesn’t look like he will renew with AC Milan. An exit, therefore, is on the cards but the defender wants to focus on the season finale.

Since arriving from Roma back in 2015, with Sinisa Mihajlovic pushing for the move, Romagnoli has been an important player for Milan. Although he lost his starting spot to Fikayo Tomori and most recently Pierre Kalulu, he has always been professional.

An attitude that has also been reflected in his negotiations over his future. As pointed out by our colleagues at SempreMilan.it, Romagnoli has made it clear to Mino Raiola that maximum confidentiality must be in place, should he sign a contract with another team.

The reason behind that is the defender’s wish to have a worthy Milan exit, being the captain of the team. Unlike Franck Kessie, whose Barcelona move has been more or less confirmed, Romagnoli wants to end his Milan adventure as a Rossoneri player and not as a player of another team.
