Chelsea have decided that AC Milan must pay a fee of €25 million if they are to sign Ruben Loftus-Cheek in the coming summer, a report claims.
As has been reported by Standard Sport in the United Kingdom (via Milan News), the movement between Milan and Chelsea for Loftus-Cheek has started to intensify in recent days and the Premier League side want €25 million for the Englishman.
That is not the sort of fee that Milan will have had in mind for the 27-year-old and they will be trying to lower that in the next round of negotiations.
There were fears that the deal may have disappeared completely after Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara were sacked by Milan, given they were behind the deal as it stood at the time.
It seems that those at Milan who have overtaken their responsibilities still want to add Loftus-Cheek to the squad in the next few weeks.
