TMW: €35m Lille star set to leave – Milan consider him ideal but Dortmund are on pole

AC Milan are among the teams in the running to land Lille winger Jonathan Ikone in the upcoming mercato, a report claims.

Ikone amassed seven goals and seven assists in 48 appearances last season, with his speed and technique helping Christophe Galtier’s side to the Ligue 1 title. According to TMW, Ikone is likely to change clubs this summer and Borussia Dortmund are the team leading the race to sign him, with Milan in behind.

The Rossoneri management are in search of a player who really makes a difference in the attacking department – a player who knows how to beat his man and make the whole team change gear in the offensive phase.

The price tag of €35m set by Les Dogues has scared Milan a bit, even though it is a figure that Dortmund would pay without too many problems, especially if this time the sale of Jadon Sancho to Manchester United took place. Lastly, Inter also made an enquiry and with the arrival of Simone Inzaghi as the head coach it will be seen if their interest becomes more concrete.
