TMW: Milan begin talks with Torino over midfielder with interest concrete

AC Milan have ideas about how they want their midfield to look moving forward and they have opened talks with Torino over signing Samuele Ricci, a report claims.

Milan’s midfield depth risks being severely depleted from early in the new year.Ismael Bennacer will most likely leave for the Africa Cup of Nations in January while Tommaso Pobega will be out for around four months after undergoing surgery.

Rade Krunic seems to be out of favour and could leave, while Yacine Adli has disappeared from the rotations again, leaving Yunus Musah, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Tijjani Reijnders with a lot of responsibility and some serious minutes to eat up. Musah and Loftus-Cheek have also had recent muscle issues too.

According to what is being reported by TMW, Milan have had ‘first contacts’ with Torino over Ricci of Torino. It is described as ‘concrete interest’ that ‘could become something more in the coming weeks’.

Milan are looking for reinforcements in that area, and the first approach follows months of watching Ricci’s performances for the Granata, who he joined from Empoli in 2022.

Now the time for the leap to a top club might have come, as per the report, and Milan are thinking about making a concrete move.
