TMW: Milan offered chance to sign €30m Leverkusen winger – Rangnick approves

AC Milan and Roma have both been offered the chance to sign Bayer Leverkusen star Paulinho in the upcoming transfer window.

That is according to TMW, who note how the Bundesliga side paid €30million to sign him from Vasco da Gama, but it is only recently that his potential has begun to be seen. Paulinho – still 19 years of age – holds the distinguished record of being the player born in the current millennium to score in the Braisileirao, at 17 years and nine days.

His price has not yet exploded, and Bayer Leverkusen may also decide to sell him as in the last few games has started to move through the gears, amassing two goals in the last game before the break against Eintracht Frankfurt.

The competition is tight, however, and finding a starting place is far from simple. The Brazilian has only amassed five minutes in his last three games. In recent weeks he has been proposed both to Milan – Rangnick has studied him and likes the player – and to Roma, who will sell Cengiz Under and Diego Perotti.

The price is to be determined, but will probably be less than what was spent 2 years ago.
