Tuttosport: AC Milan and Barcelona €10m apart on valuation of defender – the details

AC Milan look unlikely to land defender Emerson Royal at present due to Barcelona’s demands for the full-back, according to a report.

It is seemingly no secret that the Rossoneri are in the market for a new right-back given the struggles this season for both Davide Calabria and Andrea Conti, and Emerson is a name that has continued to be linked despite the fact he is on loan at Real Betis until 2021.

Mundo Deportivo reported on Friday how there were new contacts between the parties to discuss the possible departure of the player, who is jointly owned by Barça and Betis, and sources close to Milan described the meeting as “very positive” and there is even talk of very advanced negotiations.

However, according to Sunday’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Barcelona are demanding €30m to sell the Brazilian on a permanent basis, whereas Milan – who are desperate to sign a player in his position – will only pay €20m.
