AC Milan are dreaming big this summer and have made Rodrigo De Paul their main attacking target, a report claims.
Tuttosport (via MilanNews) writes that the increasingly probable farewell of Hakan Calhanoglu on a free transfer means that Milan need a replacement who can act as an attacking midfielder in the tried and tested 4-2-3-1 of Stefano Pioli.
The profile that most arouses the interest of the Rossoneri is that of Rodrigo De Paul, also wanted by Juventus and Atletico Madrid. Udinese want €35-40m for the 27-year-old but would also accept less money if there was the opportunity to insert a welcomed counterpart, such as young winger Jens Petter Hauge.
De Paul is therefore the Rossoneri’s first choice, but there are possible alternatives such as Papu Gomez – who would like to return to Italy from Sevilla – and Josip Ilicic of Atalanta. Both would be low-cost operations. Finally, Milan hope to be able to keep Brahim Diaz and will soon resume contacts with Real Madrid.
