Tuttosport: Milan make Spurs teenager their No.1 midfield target

The profile of Pape Matar Sarr is gaining momentum as AC Milan look to recruit a new midfielder before the season starts, a report claims.

According to Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan), Sarr has become the first name on the Rossoneri’s list of potential signings for the midfield given that Carney Chukwuemeka and Renato Sanches can be crossed off, as they will end up in Chelsea and PSG respectively.

Sarr is seen by Maldini and Massara as an excellent reinforcement, but they are looking for a loan with an option to make the deal permanent, because they do not want to help the 19-year-old grow and then return him to his parent club without the possibility of signing him outright.

Fabio Paratici – the sporting director at Spurs – has opened up to the idea of a loan formula, but believes that the Senegal international could be important in the future for the London team and that is why he wants a dry loan.
