Tuttosport: One goal in five games – Milan’s defensive record is impressive

AC Milan have conceded just one goal in the last five games, certainly recovering from the struggles in the derby. Fikayo Tomori is the player that has stepped up the most, as highlighted by a report.

The Englishman missed the derby against Inter due to a suspension and his absence was evident. Since then, he has been brilliant at the back and the entire Milan team has looked a lot more solid in the defensive phase.

As highlighted by Tuttosport (see photo below), Malick Thiaw and Tomori have formed a centre-back pairing that is complete in terms of technical and physical characteristics. In fact, Milan are the first team to keep a clean sheet away at Dortmund since Man City last year.

One goal conceded in the last five games is certainly a good record for the Rossoneri, who have found good form in the league. In addition to the two centre-backs, Simon Kjaer has also been decent despite his age and Marco Sporitello showed that the fans don’t need to be worried if Mike Maignan is absent.

Furthermore, Alessandro Florenzi has managed to stay fit and has thus been able to replace Davide Calabria when needed.
