GdS: The two concerns which have led to stalemate in Ziyech negotiations

AC Milan are interested in signing Hakim Ziyech from Chelsea but there are currently a couple of concerns, according to a report.

Today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) reports that the Rossoneri have identified Ziyech as a potential target for the right wing that would boost the quality of Stefano Pioli’s attack, but the negotiation has not moved forward.

The first obstacle is represented by the salary that Ziyech earns, which will not be an easy one to overcome given that Chelsea are known for being uncompromising in negotiations.

Secondly, there is a tactical concern about the Moroccan because he has tendency to cut inside from the right wing onto his preferred left foot and thus could occupy a lot of the same areas as Charles De Ketelaere.

For this reason, the paper highlights that it would be difficult to see both arrive. If the Belgian comes, it would be better for the Rossoneri to sign a player who accelerates down the right, like Leao does on the left.
