Reports: Zaniolo to force Roma exit without Abraham-level salary – Milan and Juve observe

There are several reports this morning claiming that Roma will meet with the agent of Nicolo Zaniolo to discuss a renewal and a possible exit cannot be ruled out.

Today’s edition of La Stampa (via MilanNews) reports that there will soon be a decisive meeting regarding Zaniolo’s future. In a few days his agent will talk with Roma about his future and a potential renewal, but if things are not constructive then Milan and Juventus – who have had their eyes on him for some time – are ready to step forward.

Meanwhile, Corriere di Roma (via MilanNews) believe that the discussions will take place next week between the Roma management and Zaniolo’s agent, Claudio Vigorelli, to take stock of the situation and to understand if there are the conditions for a renewal. They also state that Milan and Juventus are at the window.

Finally, Leggo (via Calciomercato.com) report that Zaniolo has let everyone know that he does not intend to stay under current conditions and asks for a salary the same as Tammy Abraham or for a sale. The club believes that the time to ask for such an important pay rise has not yet come, so the imminent meeting will be crucial to try and resolve the tension.

From Roma’s point of view, offers of less than €50m will be not accepted and while Milan and Juve still have to present a bid, Newcastle have come forward and can spend that money, but Zaniolo prefers to stay in Italy.
