CM: 15 days, two holes and several targets – Milan looking to complete their mercato

There are 15 days left until the end of the summer transfer window and AC Milan are still looking for a couple more pieces to complete the squad.

Calciomercato.com report that priority has shifted to signing a new midfielder after Franck Kessie’s departure because Tommaso Pobega and Yacine Adli have different characteristics while Tiemoue Bakayoko seems to be outside of the plans.

Today the hottest names are those of Raphael Onyedika of FC Midtjylland – valued at €7m with a negotiation ongoing – and Jean Onana of Bordeaux. Adrian Tameze and Alberti Sambi Lokonga were proposed, but do not seem concrete options.

Milan did not get their hands on Sven Botman so have been probing other centre-backs since. Maldini and Massara are working on dry loans or loan deals with an option to buy.

Evan N’Dicka of Eintracht Frankfurt remains complicated given the valuation of €15m and the fact his deal runs out at the end of the season thus meaning a loan is not possible, but he is the dream target.

PSG’s Abdou Diallo could be the more concrete alternative, as could Tottenham’s Japhet Tanganga but he is not considered a priority. With 15 days until the market closes, Milan remain busy.
