A Bola: Milan face obstacle in pursuit of €30m Benfica starlet as negotiations stop

Although the season is still ongoing, AC Milan are already making plans for the next one, expected to welcome Ralf Rangnick as their new manager and sporting director. Above all, they are monitoring young players.

Florentino Luis, who plays for Benfica, is certainly one of them. According to today’s edition of A Bola (via MilanNews24.it), though, the negotiations have hit a standstill as the clubs have failed to agree on a basis for the operation.

Benfica are asking for at least €30m while Milan are keen on getting a discount, considering the figure too high for the 20-year-old. In recent days, the Rossoneri even tried to secure him on a loan formula.

However, the Portuguese side aren’t willing to satisfy any of Milan’s requests, which is why the negotiations have been put on hold for now. It remains to be seen if the San Siro side will make a new attempt for the player.
