Comotto impressed last summer during the pre-season tour and there were suggestions that he could even stay at Milan for the season. However, all parties agreed that a loan move would suit him best.
It was a good thing, too, with minutes difficult to come by in the senior team and he excelled with Spezia. In fact, his performances impressed so much that he is now under consideration for a first-team role this season.
Comotto renews with Milan until 2031
This afternoon, the club have officially announced that Comotto has signed his new deal until 2031 – shortly after the announcement of Francesco Camarda’s renewal – with an option for an extra season included.
“AC Milan is pleased to announce that Christian Comotto has extended his contract until June 30, 2031, with the option for a further year.
“Having joined the AC Milan youth academy in 2020, he progressed through the Under teams until reaching the Primavera. In the 2025/26 season, he made his mark on loan at Spezia, making 28 appearances.
“AC Milan and Christian Comotto will continue their journey together, with the ambition of growing and reaching new goals.”
Like Camarda, there was no mention of the Futuro moving forward, nor did he pose in front of the project’s logo. So, we can safely assume that the road forward is with the senior team.
