GdS: Adli expected to leave Milan in the summer as lack of chances persists

It has not been a positive campaign so far for Yacine Adli as he continues to get very little playing time, and that could impact his fate ahead of the summer.

Adli has made just one league start all season despite impressing both in the preseason friendlies and during the games held in the break for the World Cup, with Stefano Pioli clearly not ready to trust him yet in any of the formations he has played.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) recalls how the playmaker was bought for €8.5m by Milan in 2021 from Bordeaux – where he stayed on loan for another year – but he has failed to gain a place in the hierarchies this season.

The paper goes on to claim that the writing appears to be on the wall for the Frenchman and a sale in the upcoming summer window now seems likely.
