Agent of Kessie fuels Napoli transfer speculation: “I don’t rule out anything”

The agent of AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie has admitted that anything is possible as his client continues to be linked with an exit in January.

It was announced on Wednesday that Gennaro Gattuso would succeed Carlo Ancelotti who was sacked as Napoli boss immediately after their Champions League win over Genk, and a number of reports have since emerged suggesting Rino may look to reunite with the Ivorian.

Nicolo Schira stated on Wednesday night that the first contacts have been made between Napoli and Kessie’s representatives, but numerous outlets have since stated that Milan would only consider a sale if an offer of €30million or more was put on the table.

Kessie had remained silent on the matter, but in an interview with SportMediaset (via MilanNews.it) he insisted that he wishes to stay at Milan for many years and is not interested in leaving.

George Atangana, agent of the Milan midfielder, has now spoken to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli and given another side to the story. His words were transcribed by MilanNews.it.

“I heard Gattuso compliment him. It is true that the coach has the boy’s esteem, but you cannot always associate his name with that of Kessie,” he said.

“A few years ago there was a negotiation, he was one step away from Napoli, then nothing was done about it.

“I still see him at Milan, but I don’t rule out anything. The January market is coming, if should anything arrive we will take it into consideration.”
