Tadic moved on to 26 goals and 15 assists as he was the key man in Ajax’s 4-1 thrashing of Real Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday
The Serbia international left Southampton in an €11.4m deal last summer, and his agent Milos Malenovic has revealed there was interest in Serie A – where his client could yet end up in the future.
“Who knows, maybe he will [play in Serie A] in the future,” Malenovic said of the 30-year-old to Calciomercato.com.
“[Milan and Roma] both wanted him last summer and last autumn. They tried to sign him when he was still a Southampton player.
“It was an incredible performance, from him and the whole team. I don’t think he’ll ever forget this game.
“We met after the match in the team hotel. He was very relaxed and happy. Dusan is a very smart lad.
“He’s intelligent and easy-going. He doesn’t know arrogance, not even 1 percent of it. He can talk about football all day. One day he’ll definitely be a Coach.
“He feels very good in Ajax’s system. He’s showing his class in different positions. Ajax was the right step in his career.”
