Aksam: Milan in pole position to land Fenerbahce star – €25m deal possible

Sebastian Szymanski is attracting interest from a number of clubs as he continues to impress for Fenerbahce, and a report has claimed that AC Milan are one of them.

According to what is being reported by Aksam in Turkey, there has been another ‘hot development’ regarding Szymanski, who has attracted the interest of many clubs and is ‘about to leave’ Fenerbahce for a ‘club record fee’,

Szymanski drew attention with his performances for Feyenoord in the Eredevisie last season and he went to Fenerbahce for €9.75m but now he is ‘preparing to sign for the Serie A giant’ Milan, who were linked last month too.

The source claims that the 24-year-old midfielder is ‘very close’ to joining Milan, who have offered €18m to sign him even though there is a demand of €28m from the Istanbul club to let him leave.

The Rossoneri will increase the offer to Fenerbahçe and it is believed that a meeting point could be found around €25m, for a player with 12 goals and 14 assists in 45 games so far this season.

It is known that another Serie A team, Napoli, and Premier League side Tottenham are also closely monitoring Szymanski’s situation. Both clubs are preparing to knock on Fenerbahçe’s door if Milan cannot seal the deal.
