It has been a weekend filled with talk of the new Milan manager and earlier today, Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Ruben Amorim would be the new head coach. However, there is still a figure in the background that needs to be removed.
Indeed, that is Massimiliano Allegri, who could compete in Serie A as a rival next season. Napoli are keen to employ him, but he must first agree on compensation with the Rossoneri.
Allegri’s week
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, though, this could be closer than it seemed in recent weeks. In fact, this week will see the final talks take place and he will be able to focus on Napoli after that point.
He hopes that the job will revitalise him after failed stints in Milano and Turin. Aurelio De Laurentiis believes in him heavily and this is why he has spoken to several members of the Rossoneri to free him up.
A contract is waiting in Naples and he is ready to commit to the job. His situation with the Diavolo should be resolved this week, with all parties hoping to solve things sooner rather than later so they can turn a page.
