In short, Allegri’s deal runs until 2027, with the option of another year on top of that. So, there are no major fears about his situation. Carlo Pellegatti offered his view on the situation yesterday, and it seemed largely positive, too.
So, maybe there is nothing to worry about, and Calciomercato.com have taken stock of the situation.
Season in review
Their report this afternoon states that Allegri and his team are the reason for their pace this season, and his focus is solely on qualification for the Champions League. After all, he has a record to uphold.
At this point though, he will then start discussing the plans for next season and the Italian is ‘expecting answers’ from the management.
The report states that he is ‘eager’ to meet with the key faces of the club, to gain a better understanding on their plans for the future. So, things like the transfer budget, and more importantly the players he’d like, will be discussed.
He is clear in the fact that he wants a Scudetto-worthy team, with reinforcements to progress in Europe, too.
Without a top four place, which is not impossible, the relationship would be weakened, and perhaps questions about the future could be brought up by the management. For now, it is a case of working towards a shared goal, but at the end of the season, a meeting will be had to assess the situation, it seems.
