Ambrosini praises Krunic for doing ‘more than Tonali’ against Monza

AC Milan claimed their third consecutive win last night as they beat Monza and TRade Kruynic was one of the players that worked very hard. As such, he received the praise of the Rossoneri legend Massimo Ambrosini.

The Bosnian made his third start in a row amid Ismael Bennacer’s injury struggles, partnering up with Sandro Tonali in the middle of the pitch. Although it wasn’t a spectacular display, he did what was needed (which isn’t always easy).

Speaking to DAZN after the game, as cited by SempreMilan.it, Milan legend and current pundit Massimo Ambrosini shared his thoughts on Krunic. He stated that the midfielder did what was needed in a tough midfield battle between the two teams.

“In a dirty game, Krunic managed to clear more balls than Tonali. He made complicated things look simple. In a context of a complicated midfield battle, he played a good game,” he stated.

It remains to be seen if Krunic will start against Atalanta next weekend. Ismael Bennacer should be back by then but Stefano Pioli might give him the extra, especially since Milan don’t want to force him back too early ahead of the Tottenham return.
