Arsenal defender responds to Milan links: “It’s definitely nice”

AC Milan have been extensively linked with signing another defender in the last week of the transfer window, and there is a chance they could make a late move for a player who they have been previously interested in.

In the lead-up to January, there was a lot of talk regarding Milan making a move for Jakub Kiwior, who they had held an interest in for some time. However, these rumours were seemingly shut down, with Arsenal reluctant to send him on loan in January.

The past few days have seen the situation change, though, and there now is a chance that a deal could happen. The rumours before the opening of the January mercato suggested that the Rossoneri wanted to include an option to buy at the end of the loan. However, with the London club opening up an opportunity for a loan spell with no buy option included, there is a chance that the Diavolo may make a late swoop.

The Polish defender spoke to Polish Newspaper Sport.pl recently, and his words have been relayed by MilanNews.

How do you feel about the interest from AC Milan?

“It is certainly nice and I am happy that there is interest in me, but I focus on what is now. But, there have been no talks with me yet.”
