Aston Villa forward admits Milan or Chelsea move would be a ‘dream’

Aston Villa forward Jhon Duran has admitted that playing for AC Milan or Chelsea would be a dream for him amid reports linking both clubs with a move.

Reports emerged earlier in the month claiming that Duran was actually offered to the Rossoneri in recent days through his entourage and he would be very happy to move to Milan.

Sky added that Milan remain hopeful that Aston Villa will open up to a loan formula because the management would only consider an initial loan with an option to buy rather than a permanent deal.

The player had apparently also made it known that his idol is Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who returned to Milan as an advisor last month and therefore could play a role in any negotiations that do occur.

Now, Duran has given an interview with Colombian source WinSports about his future and he was asked specifically about the rumours linking him with Milan and Chelsea. InsideFutbol relayed his reponse.

“I have my mind on Aston Villa. I am not aware of any interest from AC Milan or Chelsea. They are giant clubs and it would be a pleasure, but I have no knowledge of anything. As a child you dream of playing there,” he said.

Duran has two goals and one assist in 14 league games this season so far for the Birmingham club, having joined from Chicago Fire in January 2023.
