Calciomercato.com write that Milan’s priority at the moment is to land a new starting striker, with efforts focused on PSG’s Goncalo Ramos. The outgoing transfer market will be equally important though, and in recent days several enquiries have arrived for existing players.
Atalanta earned over €100m from the sales of Ederson to Manchester United and Marco Palestra to Chelsea. Cristiano Giuntoli is keen to invest part of this budget in Milan midfielder Ardon Jashari, the source adds.
In recent days, the new Nerazzurri sporting director has attempted to sound out the Swiss international’s entourage. At present, neither the player nor the Rossoneri have given any real openings, amid talk the ex-Brugge man wishes to prove himself at San Siro.
Giuntoli is targeting Jashari and will try again, while Sarri would prefer to welcome Samuele Ricci. The Italian’s agent would be open to the idea of his client moving to Atalanta this transfer window.
Atalanta have only made enquiries about Jashari and not yet about Ricci, but that too is a situation worth keeping an eye on, especially with Sarri known to be such a strong admirer of the former Torino captain.
