According to The Athletic, Milan made an opening €14m bid Pulisic over the weekend but Chelsea were not willing to accept, while Lyon made a bid totalling €25m which is ‘more in line’ with the figure the Blues are hoping to receive.
Milan have gone back in with a bid worth a total of €22m and are strengthened by the fact they already have an agreement with the USA international over personal terms.
The Rossoneri are also hoping that their good relations with Chelsea – having signed Olivier Giroud, Fikayo Tomori, Tiemoue Bakayoko and most recently Ruben Loftus-Cheek from them – can help them agree a deal.
The piece mentions that Milan also remain ‘very keen’ on Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze and are ‘in contact with the Spanish club’, with the mission being to improve the attacking department.
