After three years of profit, AC Milan have recorded a loss for the 2025/26 financial year totalling around €25 million.

In recent years, there have been plenty of suggestions that Milan have prioritised profit over performance on the pitch and that feeling was only deepened last summer with the sale of Tijjani Reijnders.
Indeed, the midfielder renewed his deal earlier in the year only to be sold in the summer, coincidentally at the same time as the Rossoneri needed a sale to record a profit for that year. As a result, the feelings only deepened about the priorities of RedBird.
A first loss in three years
Now, this summer, it is clear that the priorities have shifted and the Diavolo are very much focusing on spending money where it is needed. Goncalo Ramos’ arrival is only the first in what seems to be an expensive summer.
Things are certainly interesting, too, with Calcio e Finanza (via MilanNews) reporting that the club have recorded a €25m loss for the 2025/26 season. The failure to qualify for the Champions League did not help, but the club are not – and we cannot stress this enough, are not – in danger.
Indeed, they had net assets of €199m, which means that they can afford this drop. Below, we have provided the breakdown of the funds.
Revenues: Down 12% from €494m in 2024/25 to €433m
Commercial Revenue: Up 5.9% believed to be over €160m
TV Revenue: Down 42.40% from €154m in 2024/25 to €89m
Management of players’ rights: Up to €100m from €72.4m
Costs: Down €25m from €478m to €443m, a 7% reduction
