After three years of profit, AC Milan have recorded a loss for the 2025/26 financial year totalling around €25 million.
In recent years, there have been plenty of suggestions that Milan have prioritised profit over performance on the pitch and that feeling was only deepened last summer with the sale of Tijjani Reijnders.

Indeed, the midfielder renewed his deal earlier in the year only to be sold in the summer, coincidentally at the same time as the Rossoneri needed a sale to record a profit for that year. As a result, the feelings only deepened about the priorities of RedBird.
A first loss in three years
Now, this summer, it is clear that the priorities have shifted and the Diavolo are very much focusing on spending money where it is needed. Goncalo Ramos’ arrival is only the first in what seems to be an expensive summer.
Things are certainly interesting, too, with Calcio e Finanza (via MilanNews) reporting that the club have recorded a €25m loss for the 2025/26 season. The failure to qualify for the Champions League did not help, but the club are not – and we cannot stress this enough, are not – in danger.
Indeed, they had net assets of €199m, which means that they can afford this drop. Below, we have provided the breakdown of the funds.
Revenues: Down 12% from €494m in 2024/25 to €433m
Commercial Revenue: Up 5.9% believed to be over €160m
TV Revenue: Down 42.40% from €154m in 2024/25 to €89m
Management of players’ rights: Up to €100m from €72.4m
Costs: Down €25m from €478m to €443m, a 7% reduction

It can’t be 25, try (with) 35.
Get the players you need to be competitive and the money will flow in
I was voting always for profitable club but not in the way redbird politics.
If you compare how Inter treated their players and how Ac Milan we can say how badly Milan treated people that their management bought.
Their philosophy about investing 20 million per player and let focus on UCL only is what made final result. Not just that but a lot of bad situations with players and managers involved in making business with RedBird
25 million is not so bad. Musah Chukwueze and Bennacer were players on loan who unfortunately didn’t managed upgrade they play. Theirs potential sales should bring 17+14 +8 in capital gains so in next fiscal years still there are rooms for their upgrade play or sales with capital gain.
Hopefully they will change their behaviors to players and do smarter politics with investment.
So, winning the Scudetto, reaching the CL semi-finals made us cut losses and eventually post a profit despite letting Hakan, Donnarumma, Kessie, Romagnoli leave for free, but selling Theo, Tonali and Reijnders for approx. 150 million led us to a loss. It seems that consistent sporting success is a better long-term strategy for financial stability. It must hurt Maldini how much he is being vindicated at the expense of the team he loves.
Are you serious? Maldini isn’t vindicated in any way. While he was director:
Transfers In: €532.97 million
Transfers Out: €215.21 million
Net Spend: €317.76 million
That’s why he was fired. M&M did a terrible job of raising money from player sales.
You go into the red zone with redbird.
Whiteout performance in the field , whiteout trophies is very hard to grow the revenues. If you want sportive performance , you need to invest money of course but more important is to hire skillful managers and directors
I hope Redbird lose every penny they have and Gerry is left watching Milan through the windows of 5th avenue as he begs for a dollar in his urine soaked rags.
Ranting away about how he used to own AC Milan
He’s a shite-bird con man
yep, 100%. the way he’s running this club, it’s not a stretch he’ll lose money on this investment.
Missing Champions League 2 seasons in a row, and the paltry income from Serie A TV revenue would do that.
Redbird and Gerry Cardinale can officially be told they’re failing at running the club, on all levels they are failing
will see how season ticket sales will go. i hope for half empty sansiro. hence even more red in the books.
Try winning something. Money will follow.
didnt gerry say winning is boring in an interview a couple of years ago?
haha he forget, to say winning is boring, he need winning 1st & it’s need a lot b4 that
The cause of the loss was the decrease in TV rights revenues. I would really like to know how those dropped 65 mil, or 42.2%?
Thats the reason for the total revenue loss as well.
