Report: Liverpool, Arsenal and Man City keen on Milan midfielder with €50m clause

Three Premier League clubs are interested in signing Ismael Bennacer from AC Milan with Liverpool among them, according to a report.

Hafid Derradji of BeINSports has published an article on alquds.co.uk claiming that there is concrete interest in Bennacer, but Milan boss Stefano Pioli is not at all willing to give up one of his key players especially after already losing Franck Kessie.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is still seeking to strengthen his midfield with a new addition with Bennacer, Adrian Rabiot of Juventus and Hakan Calhanoglu of Inter on the list of players that he would approve.

Milan do not want to sell Bennacer but his contract – which runs until 2024 – has a release clause of €50m. The management wish to raise that to €100m by raising the player’s annual salary to three times what it is today in exchange for renewing his deal until 2027.

The report adds that Manchester City, Liverpool and his former team Arsenal are all circling for the Algerian international, hoping to take advantage in the event a renewal agreement is not reached.
