CM: Brahim Diaz’s rough patch becomes a crisis – he is fighting for his Milan future

What AC Milan were hoping was just an extended period of bad form for Brahim Diaz has now turned into a serious long-term rut as the playmaker continues to struggle.

After consecutive draws against Bologna and Torino during which Milan failed to score, the feeling is that the critical issues of the Rossoneri squad have been exposed and the attack is a big part of that. Messias and Saelemaekers struggle to contibute anything from the right, while Brahim Diaz has not scored since 25 September 2021.

Calciomercato.com writes how his end to the 2020-21 campaign perhaps deluded the management into thinking he is ready for a consistent starting role, because although he is a talented player capable of moments of brilliance, they are only seen intermittently.

The feeling is that Brahim is not worth the €22m that Real Madrid want to make the loan move permanent in summer 2023 and a meeting between the two clubs is expected at the end of the season to take stock of his situation.

Brahim is attached to Milan and would like to stay for at least another season but doubts remain and he must convince in the final six games.
