MN: Patience granted to Brahim Diaz amid struggles but ideas regarding his role have changed

Brahim Diaz is not experiencing a good moment of form at the moment but the AC Milan management have clear ideas about the next steps, a report claims.

According to MilanNews, the Milan leaders and coaching staff know that Brahim has has enormous talent, but after an explosive start to the season during which he scored four goals in his first nine games, he has been showing difficulties for a few months now, essentially since having and recovering from Covid-19.

However, the Spaniard is admired by the management and the coach, who will wait for him to hit his rhythm and to fully adapt just as they did with Rafael Leao and Sandro Tonali, the former of whom also struggled in his second season to find consistency but is exploding in his third campaign.

Milan are beginning to believe that Brahim manages to show the best version of himself when the opposition defence have begun to loosen because his speed and brilliance can break games open, as happened in the derby a few weeks ago.

He has more difficulty when it comes to breaking down closed defences who pin a man on him, so the explosiveness of Theo Hernandez and Leao has been relied upon too much to unhinge the opposing rearguards.
