GdS: Brahim Diaz more motivated than ever – he wants to hang on to a starting spot

The upcoming season is a very important one for Brahim Diaz as he looks to get back on track after a difficult campaign, and there are some good signs.

As Milan continue to be linked with targets like Hakim Ziyech and Charles De Ketelaere, it has raised questions about what could happen with Brahim Diaz, who is currently halfway through a two-year loan from Real Madrid.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports how the possible arrival of the Belgian playmaker and the continuous search for a left-footed right winger (like Ziyech) has shifted the spotlight onto the future of the Spaniard.

In June, Real Madrid even thought about interrupting the loan deal and bringing Brahim Diaz back to the Spanish capital but in the end they left him at Milanello, which could yet be a good choice because Stefano Pioli still very much believes in him.

The report claims that Diaz showed up at Milanello more charged than ever having put on a few pounds of muscle mass while training on vacation. A new player may arrive but for now the Milan playmaker remains Diaz, though a great attacking production is needed from him given he is without a goal since September.
